Community Empowerment
Empowering locals through poultry farming education, so as to Build secure livelihood.
Empowering women through small-scale businesses
Roots & Wings Initiative discusses the importance of economic independence, and the need to utilize the river bank for all year planting of crops, Palm wine tress and vegetables, with village heads and members of the community, in Ukanafun Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. The NGO provided them with improved varieties of crops and other resources to help them grow their crops and harvest bountifully. Together, we can uplift and support our community towards a brighter future.
Plastic Pollution
Awareness was created for community in Ibeno Local Gogernment Area of Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, for the need of sanitizing the environment always and collecting the plastic waste for recycling, as a way of creating jobs for themselves and earning income therefrom.
Capacity Training
At various times, Roots and Wings Empowerment Initiative organized training seminars and workshops for Chiefs and Members of Ukanafun and Ini Local Government Areas of Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, on secure livelihoods, forests prevservation and tree planting and equally built the capacities of disable persons on the need to identify themselves with skills.
